Psychiatric Evaluations
During your first appointment, my goal is to get to know you and understand your concerns. I will ask questions to learn more about:
- What you are currently experiencing
- Any past psychiatric symptoms
- Previous treatments, medications, and therapies
- Your medical history and any substance use
- Your social background and family history
From this information, we will work together to clarify a diagnosis and explore treatment options. Recommendations may include therapy, medication, or both.
- If therapy is recommended, I will provide a referral to a therapist.
- If medication is appropriate, I will review the available options along with potential risks, benefits, and interactions with other medications.

Medication Management

Medication management appointments are a way to check how well your medications are working for you and to make sure you’re tolerating them without too many side effects.
If a medication is prescribed, it will be sent electronically to the pharmacy you prefer. The specific medication recommended will depend on the diagnosis made during your first evaluation.
How often you’ll need follow-up appointments depends on how you’re doing and how you respond to the medication. Sometimes these visits are weekly, sometimes monthly, and in some cases even less often—it all depends on your individual needs.
